COMING UP...

FALL RETREAT 2010 - OCTOBER 8th-10th:

The Retreat is always a highlight of the fall and we hope you'll join us!  We're heading back this year to Triple R Ranch in Chesapeake and you can find all the details (including cost, activities and packing list) on the Permission & Info Form.  The Retreat is open to all LUMC Youth in Grades 6-12.  Your permission form and initial deposit are due by 9/19, and the final day to register is 9/26 or when spaces are filled, if that comes first.  Final deposit is due by 10/3.  Each participant must also complete an LUMC Youth Code of Conduct Form and have on file a Health Record & Medical Emergency Permission Form.  There are a couple of forms required by Triple R Ranch, as well.  All forms can be found on the church website (under Ministries/Youth/Forms) or at the Youth Bulletin Board in the Church Welcome Center.  If you have questions, please contact Marlene at mpassarelli@lumcvb.org.

REALITY CHECK - Small Groups for Middle School & Sr. High happen each Wednesday evening during the school year.

SR HIGH group begins September 8th (7-8:15pm) at the Cooneys'.

MIDDLE SCHOOL group begins September 15th (6:30-7:15pm) in the Youth Room.

Pick up the latest copy of DevoZine at the Youth Bulletin Board in the Welcome Center.  The church purchases this great magazine so you can receive it for FREE!  Each issue is packed with stories and devotions written by students like you to challenge and help you in your faith journey.  It's small enough to fit in your backpack...a great thing to read on those long bus rides or during that boring study hall .  Give it a try this week!

 DON'T FORGET...

     Each student needs to have on file with the Youth Director a current HEALTH RECORD & MEDICAL EMERGENCY PERMISSION FORM for the  2010-2011 school year.  This form is necessary to participate in activities that are overnight or off-site (away from the church).  Forms are valid from September 1st through August 31st and can be found at the Youth Bulletin Board or the Youth Ministries page of this website.  NEW THIS YEAR...turn in your completed form by August 31st and be entered in a drawing to win a FREE registration for this year's Fall Retreat at Triple R Ranch, October 8th-10th!  Completed forms may be turned in to Marlene Passarelli or the church office.
